If you already have an existing Sky dish then all you have to do is buy the box,connect it up and let it go through the set up process. If the idea of Freesat is new to you please keep reading for an explanation
Freesat (free satellite) is a venture between the BBC and ITV amongst others, for those who cannot get freeview from an aerial.
All that is needed is a satellite dish, usually a 45cm one, that is often referred to as a Sky dish.
This points to the Astra satellite at 28.2e. A universal L.N.B (low noise block) this is the receiving part on the end of the dish. A quality cable from the dish to the receiver and the receiver itself. Freesat does not require a contract or connection to a phone line. Once installed you should be able to receive over 140 channels and radio stations. Different boxes are also available. The standard box (sd) which has just one tuner and standard definition pictures,
The high definition box (HD) which also has one tuner but has high definition programs (BBC1 AND ITV)
And the flagship Freesat plus box which is like the Sky HD box (albeit not as many HD channels) where you can pause live tv, rewind and fast forward recorded program content. This box is also HD capable.
The Freesat plus box does require two feeds from the dish to enable you to record two programs at the same time or record one channel while watching another, and because of this your dish will need a LNB capable of having two cables inserted into it.
Most installers now fit a quad LNB, Quad meaning four inputs are possible.

We will then install your new dish (if one is required) in the least noticeable place possible (signal dependant of course), Keeping all cable runs neat and out of sight where possible. Dont worry about any mess, we always tidy up after us and we also wear shoe covers when entering your home.
